Dunedin City Toy Library

Welcome to the Dunedin City Toy Library!

The Dunedin City Toy Library (DCTL) is one of Dunedin’s volunteer-run community toy libraries and is located in North East Valley.

The DCTL has over 400 toys and games available for hire from board games to Playmobil, dress-ups to sensory play toys, ride-ons to play kitchens and everything in between. Our collection is constantly being updated with the latest and greatest toys for kids between 0-7 years old, but there’s sure to be something that the whole family can enjoy.

Different memberships are available to suit all members of our community, including grandparents with visiting grandkids, families who want to try out the library, and great value annual subscriptions.

We know that our tamariki flourish when they have space and time to play, and having access to quality toys and games to explore and enjoy is an important piece of the puzzle. At the Dunedin City Toy Library, we believe that our community can join together to provide these resources for our kids in a sustainable, affordable and connected way.
